EL PASO, Texas - The UTEP women's golf team returns to action this week at the Red Raider Invitational in Lubbock, Texas, hosted by Texas Tech.

The tournament is set for The Rawls Course (par 72, 6,815 yards). All rounds will be contested in a shotgun format, beginning with the opening 36 holes on Tuesday at 8 a.m. MT/9 a.m. CT. The final round is scheduled for Wednesday with a 7:15 a.m. MT/8:15 a.m. CT start.
The 15-team field includes host Texas Tech, ACU, Ball State, California Baptist, Central Arkansas, Houston Christian, Incarnate Word, James Madison, New Mexico, Sam Houston, Texas A&M Corpus-Christi, UT Arlington, UTEP, UTRGV, and UTSA.

Amelia Fridlund will be competing as an individual.
Last season,
Taline Kyoumjian and Marta Romeu Cheu were UTEP's top finishers at the Red Raider Invitational, while the Miners placed 11
th out of 16 teams.

Atikan Cherdchoo paced the Miners at The Lady Clerico (Hillcrest Country Club, par 72, 6,662 yards), finishing 13
th overall with a 3-over par 219 (72-72-75). She recorded seven birdies and set both her lowest round and tournament score early in her UTEP career.
UTEP finished seventh in the 12-team field with a season-best 896.
Blanca Yrizar tied for 21
st at 7-over 223 (74-74-75) with five birdies, while
Luciana Origel shared 35
th after 12-over 228 (76-77-75) that included four birdies.
Paige Wood tied for 37
th at 13-over 229 (76-79-74), highlighted by eight birdies across the three rounds.
Nichapas Thawinwan rounded out the lineup, finishing 42
nd with a 14-over 230 (79-78-73) with seven birdies.
