FORT WORTH, Texas – UTEP rifle closed out its weekend in Fort Worth with another strong performance Sunday morning, topping Schreiner University in a neutral-site matchup at the TCU Rifle Range. The Miners posted a 4706 team aggregate and controlled the contest in both disciplines, finishing ahead of the Mountaineers 2330–2143 in smallbore and 2376–2211 in air rifle.
UTEP's Kameron Wells led all shooters on the day, turning in the top aggregate score of the match with a 1179.
The Miners also saw standout individual performances across the lineup, highlighted by Julia Czernik's personal-best effort in smallbore. Czernik fired a 584-27 to claim the top smallbore score of the match, narrowly edging Wells' 584-26 by one center shot, while also posting a career-best 1174 aggregate on the day.
In air rifle, Xan Keel paced the field with a 596, matching her personal-best score from last week's win over Air Force. Keel added an extra layer of consistency with a new career-high in centers, recording a 596-49x compared to her previous 596-44x.
Schreiner was led by Molly Mitchell, who produced a 1157 aggregate (570 smallbore, 587 air rifle).

UP NEXT
UTEP will now shift its focus to the newly relocated Patriot Rifle Conference Championship, hosted at the X Count in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The championship is set for Feb. 7-8, with smallbore competition taking place Saturday and air rifle following Sunday.
