Round 1 & 2 Results
LITCHFIELD PARK, Ariz. – The UTEP women's golf team sits atop the leaderboard after day one of the BGSU Women's Intercollegiate, carding an even-par 568 (282, 286) through 36 holes on Tuesday. The Miners' 282 in round one came just one stroke shy of their season-low round (281), while the 286 in round two continued UTEP's strong play.
UTEP will enter Wednesday's final round with a seven-stroke lead over second-place UT Arlington (286, 289—575) and a 12-stroke advantage over third-place Drake (288, 292—580). The final round begins at 9 a.m. in a tee time format as the Miners look to secure the team title.

Freshman
Atikan Cherdchoo leads the field at 3-under par (139) after rounds of 68 and 71. Her opening-round 68 established a new career low and helped set the tone for UTEP's strong start.
Competing as an individual,
Nichapas Thawinwan is tied for second at 2-under par (140), rebounding from a 74 in round one with a career-best 66 in round two. The 66 is the lowest individual single-round score by a Miner since
Marta Romeu Chen shot a 67 in the third round of the Golf Iconic Classic on Oct. 5, 2022.
Amelia Fridlund is tied for fourth at 1-under par (141) after posting rounds of 70 and 71, while
Blanca Yrizar sits tied for ninth at 1-over par (143) with scores of 72 and 71.
Taline Kyoumjian posted her season-best round of 72 and followed with a 73 to sit tied for 16th at 3-over par (145).
Luciana Origel is tied for 46th at 11-over par (153) after rounds of 77 and 76.
Also competing individually,
Paige Wood is tied for 22nd at 4-over par (146) after rounds of 73 and 73. Her 73 marked her season-best round.

The Miners will continue their spring slate Mar. 2–3 at the West Texas Classic in Abilene, Texas, hosted by Abilene Christian.
