EL PASO, Texas – UTEP beach volleyball hits the road for South Florida's Stampede Beach Opener, set for March 27-28 at Clearwater Beach in Clearwater, Florida.
The Miners (5-11, 2-2 CUSA) will face four opponents over the two-day event, including three Conference USA foes. UTEP opens the weekend Friday against Sam Houston and South Florida before closing out the tournament Saturday versus UAB and Stephen F. Austin.

Each dual will follow a staggered format, with the even flights (2, 4, 6) competing first before rolling into the odd flights (1, 3, 5), with both start times noted in the schedule below.

Last Time Out: Arizona Invitational Recap
UTEP is coming off a competitive showing at the Arizona Invitational in Tucson, where the Miners split both days of competition.
UTEP opened the weekend with a 4-1 win over San Francisco before falling to No. 19 Arizona, 4-1. The Miners followed with another split on Saturday, dropping a tight 3-2 dual to Missouri State before bouncing back with a 3-2 victory against Tarleton State.
CUSA Pair of the Week Honors
Krista Paegle and Averie Threet made program history this week, earning Conference USA Beach Volleyball Pair of the Week honors for the first time since the program's inception in 2023.
The duo was dominant at the Arizona Invitational, posting a perfect 4-0 record on Court 3 without dropping a single set. Their performance included a straight-set victory that secured UTEP's lone point against nationally ranked Arizona, along with two Conference USA wins.
Paegle and Threet enter the weekend on a four-match winning streak and hold a 6-2 record as a pair over the past two weeks.
