DALLAS – UTEP beach volleyball's Krista Paegle and Averie Threet made program history as the duo was named Conference USA Beach Volleyball Pair of the Week, the league announced Tuesday.

Paegle and Threet become the first pair in program history to earn the weekly honor since its inception in 2023.

Paegle and Threet delivered a flawless performance at the Arizona Invitational in Tucson, going a perfect 4-0 on Court 3 at Bear Down Beach that included a top-20 win and two CUSA wins. The duo opened the weekend with a straight-set victory over San Francisco on Friday, then followed with an impressive straight-set win to secure UTEP's lone point against nationally ranked No. 19 Arizona later that day. Paegle and Threet carried their momentum into Saturday, earning another straight-set win over Missouri State in the morning before closing out the invitational with a dominant straight-set victory against Tarleton State in the afternoon. The pair was untouchable throughout the weekend, sweeping all four opponents without dropping a single set.
