DALLAS – The UTEP beach volleyball team earned the Conference USA Sport Academic Award for beach volleyball, as announced by the league office Friday.

The Sport Academic Award is given to the team in each conference-sponsored sport with the highest GPA for the academic year. The Miners recorded a 3.73 cumulative GPA during the 2025-26 academic year to claim the honor.

UTEP also had 14 student-athletes recognized on the Conference USA Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll, while nine earned the league's highest academic distinction, the Commissioner's Academic Medal.

Individually, Paulina Acuna and Madison Hill continued to excel in both competition and the classroom, earning selections to the Conference USA All-Academic Team and College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team.

The recognition adds to another strong year academically for the Miners, highlighting the program's continued commitment to success both on the sand and in the classroom.
