GREENWOOD, Indiana - UTEP beach volleyball's Paulina Acuna and Madison Hill have been named to the 2025-26 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District® Women's At-Large Team, announced by the organization Tuesday.

To qualify for the honor, student-athletes must hold a cumulative GPA of at least 3.50, be at least a sophomore academically and have completed one full calendar year at their current institution. Student-athletes must be in the lineup for 75 percent of an institution's TEAM SCORING events.

The 2025-26 Academic All-District® Women's At-Large teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in competition and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes women's at-large honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

Acuna earned Academic All-District® recognition following another outstanding year in the classroom and on the sand. Acuna graduated in May 2025 with a degree in multidisciplinary studies and carries a 3.95 cumulative GPA. She was named to the 10-member 2026 Conference USA Beach Volleyball All-Academic Team, marking her first career selection to the league's academic squad, while also earning Conference USA Commissioner's Academic Medal and Commissioner's Honor Roll recognition in each of her four years at UTEP. In the sand, Acuna competed alongside Hill as UTEP's top pair throughout the 2026 campaign, posting a 14-15 overall record and a 4-3 mark in Conference USA play. The duo opened the season in dominant fashion with a perfect 4-0 record on court two during opening weekend.

Hill collected Academic All-District® honors after continuing her remarkable success academically and competitively. Hill owns a perfect 4.00 GPA while pursuing her master's degree in mechanical engineering and was selected to the 10-member 2026 Conference USA Beach Volleyball All-Academic Team, marking her fourth consecutive conference all-academic honor. A four-time Conference USA Commissioner's Academic Medal recipient and four-time Commissioner's Honor Roll selection, Hill has also earned the Thomas Howard Walk-On Student-Athlete and Academic Award twice and received UTEP's prestigious Dr. Louis Robbins Award for Excellence in 2025, presented annually to the student-athlete with the highest senior GPA. Competing alongside Acuna on UTEP's top court, Hill compiled a 13-15 overall record and a 4-3 Conference USA mark while helping the pair open the year with a 4-0 showing on court two during opening weekend.
