EL PASO, Texas – The UTEP women's golf team is set to compete in the Wyoming Cowgirl Classic in Maricopa, Ariz., hosted by Wyoming at Ak-Chin Southern Dunes Golf Club (par 72, 6,212 yards), Tuesday through Wednesday.
Round one begins Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. MDT / 7:30 a.m. MST in a shotgun start format, followed by round two. The final round is scheduled for Wednesday.

Blanca Yrizar,
Amelia Fridlund,
Atikan Cherdchoo,
Nichapas Thawinwan and
Luciana Origel will represent the Miners in the team lineup, while
Taline Kyoumjian will compete as an individual.
The Miners will compete in a 21-team field that includes host Wyoming, Arizona State, Boise State, BYU, Eastern Washington, Fresno State, Gonzaga, Grand Canyon, Iowa State, Long Beach State, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, New Mexico State, Oral Roberts, Sacramento State, Santa Clara, Southern Utah, UC Riverside and UNLV.

The UTEP women's golf team placed third out of 14 teams at the Ozarks National Invitational, posting a 914 (312–300–302) at Ozarks National Golf Course. Freshman
Blanca Yrizar led the Miners with a tie for third at 6-over-par (222), earning the first top-three finish of her collegiate career and her second straight top-10 result.
Luciana Origel also finished inside the top 15, tying for 14th at 13-over-par (229) as UTEP secured its third consecutive top-five finish of the season.

The Miners will compete in the 2026 Conference USA Championships, April 20-22 at Stonebriar Country Club in Frisco, Texas.
