UTEP Women’s Basketball Add Trio of Signees Ahead of 2026–27 Campaign

EL PASO, Texas – The UTEP women's basketball program has added three players ahead of the 2026-27 season, Head Coach Keitha Adams announced Thursday. 
 
A brief profile and quote from Coach Adams on each signee follow below.
 
Imani Warren
Guard

New Mexico State
 
Comes to UTEP after three stints at NM State, earning 2025–26 All-CUSA Honorable Mention honors. Appeared in all 30 games with 26 starts, ranking second on the team in scoring at 12.1 points per game (15th in CUSA) while adding 3.7 rebounds and 2.2 assists per contest. Led the Aggies with 2.0 steals per game (10th in CUSA) and shot 43.2% from the field. Recorded 21 double-digit scoring performances, including 11 games with 15+ points, highlighted by a career-high 29 points against Liberty (1/2/26), a 21-point, nine-rebound effort versus UTEP (1/31/26), and her first career double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds against N.M. Highlands (11/11/25), adding a career-best six assists in that contest.
 
Adams on Warren: "We're very excited to have Imani join our team. This was a no brainer after competing against her at NMSU, we felt she was a great addition. She's a great athlete, who can score and play defense."
 
Armanda Sindalawa

Clarendon College
 
Comes to UTEP from Clarendon College following a standout junior college career, earning NJCAA All-American Second Team honors and NJCAA Region V Tournament MVP recognition, along with All-Region V honors and back-to-back WJCAC All-Conference selections. Helped lead Clarendon to 30+ wins, the 2025–26 Region V and WJCAC championships, and a No. 8 national ranking in NJCAA Division I. Started all 36 games in 2025–26, averaging 16.7 points, 7.9 rebounds and 6.5 assists per game while totaling 600 points, shooting 49.8% from the field, 42.4% from three and 82.9% from the free throw line. Recorded 12 20-point games, 12 double-doubles and a triple-double (15 points, 11 assists, 10 rebounds) against Midland College (1/5/26). Finished her two-year career with over 1,000 points, 500+ rebounds and 400+ assists.
 
Adams on Sindalawa: "Armanda is a very athletic point guard, she's very explosive in transition, can score, distribute, and plays defense. She brings a winning, confident, team-leader mentality."
 
Zainab "Lemon" Olalekan
Forward

Clarendon College
 
Comes to UTEP from Clarendon College following a productive junior college career, earning NJCAA Division I All-National Tournament Team honors and NJCAA Region V All-Tournament Team recognition, along with NJCAA All-Region V and WJCAC All-Conference honors. A three-time WJCAC Player of the Week, she helped lead Clarendon to 30+ wins, the 2025–26 Region V and WJCAC championships, and a No. 8 national ranking in NJCAA Division I. Emerged as one of the program's most dominant interior players, averaging 11.6 points (second on the team) and a team-leading 13.9 rebounds per game while recording 23 double-doubles, 13 games with 15+ rebounds, and eight games with at least 15 points and 15 rebounds. Highlighted by a 28-point, 18-rebound, four-steal, four-block performance against Northern Oklahoma College-Tonkawa (12/4/25).
 
Adams on Olalekan: "Lemon is an extraordinary athlete; she's a rebounding specialist that has a nose for the ball. She assisted her team in big games with extra possessions, scoring inside and defense."
