UTEP Men’s Golf to Compete at William H. Tucker in Albuquerque Friday & Saturday

EL PASO – The UTEP men's golf team will play in its second tournament of the season when the Miners travel up the road to Albuquerque, N.M., to compete at the William H. Tucker Intercollegiate. The two-day, 54-hole event will be played at The Championship Course at the University of New Mexico (par 72, 7555 yards) on Friday and Saturday.
 
The first two rounds will be played on Friday, with a shotgun start of 8 a.m. MT, followed by the final round on Saturday, with a 7:40 a.m. MT shotgun start.

Competing along with UTEP and host New Mexico are BYU, Colorado, Denver, Dixie State, Florida Atlantic, LA Tech, Louisville, Loyola Marymount, Nebraska, NM State, North Texas, San Diego, Santa Clara, UNLV, VCU, Wyoming and Texas (individual).
 
Making the trip for the Miners are Greg Holmes, Marcus Khaw, Remy Miller, Jacob Presutti and Greg Yellin.
 
Yellin is coming off a career weekend after shooting 9-under par, 207 (67, 68, 72) for a fourth-place finish at the Gene Miranda Falcon Invite on Sept. 10-12. The Miners overall finished in eighth place out of 21 programs.
 
Following its weekend in Albuquerque, UTEP will have a quick turnaround and take the links in Boulder, Colo., at the Mark Simpson Colorado Invitational on Sept. 27-28.
