UTEP Men’s Golf Finishes Fifth at the William H. Tucker Invitational

RESULTS

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – UTEP started the day tied for eighth but moved up three spots to finish in fifth place after the Miners shot 12-under par 852 (287-283-282) at the William H. Tucker Invitational on Saturday afternoon at UNM Championship Course (par 72 | 7,555 yards). 
 
The Miners shot 6-under par 282 in the third round and at one point were in second place. Long Beach State won the tournament at 23-under par 841 (284-280-277), moving up three spots to claim the team title. Host New Mexico (276-282-288—846) finished in second, while Colorado (289-271-287—847) and USC (279-282-286—847) finished tied for third. 
 
Dylan Teeter shot up 25 spots to tie for 11th after shooting 4-under par 68 in the third round. Overall, Teeter shot 5-under par 211 (71-72-68). Teeter tied 17 birdies and penciled in an eagle (par 4) on hole 12 in the third round.  
 
Patrick Foley (71-72-70—213) darted up 17 spots to tie for 19th after firing 2-under par 70 in the third round. Foley recorded 10 birdies. 
 
Braden Smith (73-71-71—215) climbed up the leaderboard 21 spots to tie for 27th. Smith registered 15 birdies. 
 
Marc Keller (78-70-73—221) tied for 71st. Keller had 11 birdies. 
 
Alexandre Godin (72-70-80—222) tied for 76th. Godin had nine birdies. 
 
Colin Price (75-74-77—226), in his first action as a Miner, finished tied for 88th, competing as an individual.
