College Sports Communicators Names UTEP Golf’s Godin, Keller, Thawinwan to Academic All-District® Team

EL PASO – College Sports Communicators announced that UTEP men's golf's Alexandre Godin and Marc Keller, and women's golf's Nichapas Thawinwan were honored to the 2026 Academic All-District® Men's/Women's At-Large teams on Tuesday.
 
Godin, a sophomore majoring in business, posted a team-best 3.95 GPA, and Keller had a 3.80 GPA in multidisciplinary studies. Thawinwan was also dedicated to the classroom, working towards a team-best 3.94 GPA in psychology. 
 
Godin and Keller are coming off a campaign in which their efforts propelled the Miners into the Conference USA Match Play Championship for a third consecutive season. UTEP finished first in stroke play at 31-under par 833, and followed that with a victory over fourth-seeded Middle Tennessee, 4-1, in the match play semifinals. Godin, named to the CUSA All-Tournament team, finished tied for second at 9-under par 207. Keller was 18th at 3-under par 213.
 
Overall, Godin played in nine tournaments (27 rounds) and penciled in a 72.9 stroke average. His best 54 was 207 at the championship, while his finish was the highest of his career. The native of Saint Prix, France, earned a spot on the 2026 CUSA Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll and was a CUSA Commissioner's Academic Medalist. 
 
Keller, a transfer from UCF, played in 11 tournaments (33 rounds), recording a 72.9 stroke average. Keller's best 54 was a 206 at the Mark Simpson Colorado Invitational. Keller earned a spot on the 2026 CUSA Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll and was a CUSA Commissioner's Academic Medalist. 
 
Thawinwan, who was named to the 2025-26 CUSA Women's Golf All-Academic second team, competed in eight of UTEP's nine tournaments. The native of Phuket, Thailand, posted a 75.2 stroke average. She was UTEP's top finisher at the BGSU Women's Intercollegiate, competing as an individual and sharing runner-up honors with a career-best 54-hole total of 211 (-2). Her second-round 66 marked a career low and tied the second-lowest single-round score in program history. Her 211 total was the lowest 54-hole score by a Miner this season. 
 
Thawinwan is a two-time CUSA Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll member as well as a two-time CUSA Commissioner's Academic Medal recipient.
