UTEP Men’s Golf Inks Incoming Freshman Viggo Olsson Mork

EL PASO – UTEP men's golf head coach Aaron Puetz announced on Monday that Viggo Olsson Mork signed with the program. Olsson Mork will begin competition in the Fall of 2026 with five years of eligibility.

Olsson Mork is from Stockholm, Sweden, and attended Helsingborg Filbornaskolan High School. During the last few years, he's competed at the 2024 R&A Boys' Amateur Championship, the 2024 Jacques Leglise Trophy, the Triple A Series World Final & Triple A European Open, the U.S. Junior Amateur Championship and the Danish International Amateur Championship.

"I've been following Viggo's young career since he won the R&A's Boys Amateur," Puetz said. "When we learned he was available, we couldn't wait to get him signed and to El Paso this Fall. As an incoming freshman, he's an important piece of our team that allows us to continue competing with the best teams in the country and the Mountain West. Welcome to the 9-1-5, Viggo!"

He amassed two wins and 11 top-10 finishes in the amateur ranks. Olsson Mork's first victory came at the "More is better – JMI #2" and backed that up with a win at the R&A Boys Amateur Championship. He secured an amateur milestone by defeating the Netherlands' Scott Woltering in the 2024 R&A Boys' Amateur Championship final. Olsson Mork rallied from five down after 12 holes to win 4&3 at Moortown Golf Club.
