Carlin Named to C-USA Soccer All-Academic Team

DALLAS, Texas – Forward Tessa Carlin was named to the 2022 Conference USA Women's Soccer All-Academic Team, the league office announced on Friday.
 
Carlin was named to the 11-member first team with a 3.88 GPA as a biology major.
 
She is the first UTEP player to receive first team accolades since Bri Barreiro in 2016 and the first Miner named to the list since Lauren Crenshaw was a second team pick in 2019.
 
On the field, Carlin has started all 17 games for the Miners this season. She leads the team with four goals and ranks in a tie for second with a pair of assists. She is first on the team with 17 shots, including nine on frame.
 
Carlin has scored 12 career goals over the course of 47 games played, including 46 starts. Four of those have been game-winning goals.
 
A total of 14 UTEP soccer players have been named to the All-Academic Team in program history.
 
The Miners conclude the 2022 season at 6 p.m. MT/7 p.m. CT tonight at UTSA.
