UTEP Men’s Golf Set to Compete at the John A. Burns Intercollegiate in Hawai’i Feb. 17-19

EL PASO – The UTEP men's golf team will hit the links across the Pacific at the John A. Burns Intercollegiate on Feb. 17-19 at Ocean Course Hokuala (par 72 – 7,156 yards) in Lihu'e, Kauai'i, hosted by the University of Hawai'i.
 
Each day will start at 8:30 a.m. Hawaii-Aleutian Standard Time/11:30 a.m. MT with a shotgun start. The tournament will have live results here: https://bit.ly/3HVqBrX. A total of 54 holes will be played (18 holes each day).
 
The Miners are one of 22 programs competing on the island, as the field includes host Hawai'i, no. 27 Arizona, BYU, Cal, Fresno State, Grand Canyon, Long Beach State, no. 38 New Mexico, Northern Colorado, no. 78 Saint Mary's College, Santa Clara, no. 11 Texas A&M, UC Irvine, UNLV, USC, no. 43 Utah, and no. 93 Washington State.
 
Competing for the Miners are Greg Yellin (72.5 scoring average), Jacob Presutti (73.6), Danny Daniels (74.4), Greg Holmes (74.9) and Damon Vilkauskas (72.5).
 
There was no tournament during the 2021 season as it was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Texas A&M (845) won the 2020 event, while New Mexico's Sam Choi (206) won the individual title.
