UTEP Men’s Golf Set to Compete at Conference USA Championship April 25-28

EL PASO – UTEP will take the links at the 2022 Men's Golf Conference USA Championship at Texarkana Country Club (par 72 – 6,969 yards) in Texarkana, Ark., on April 25-28.

Monday's first-round action will begin at 9:30 a.m. MT/10:30 CT. Live results will be available on GolfStat.

Taking the course for the Miners are Greg Yellin (72.8), Marcus Khaw (73.3), Jacob Presutti (74.7), Danny Daniels (75.1) and Greg Holmes (75.9), and Damon Vilkauskas (72.8) will serve as a substitute.

UTEP will start on the back nine as Holmes will tee off at 9:30 a.m. MT, Daniels at 9:40 a.m., Presutti at 9:50 a.m., Khaw at 10 a.m. and Yellin at 10:10 a.m. The Miners, ranked no. 150 nationally, will be paired with no. 102 LA Tech and no. 155 Rice.

No. 28 Charlotte and no. 54 UAB will tee off starting at 9:30 a.m. MT on the front nine, while no. 71 Middle Tennessee and no. 77 Florida Atlantic will tee off starting at 10:10 a.m. MT on hole one. No. 80 UTSA, no. 82 North Texas and no. 83 Southern Miss will start at 10:50 a.m. MT on the front nine. No. 166 Marshall, no. 178 ODU and no. 195 WKU will tee off starting at 10:20 a.m. MT on hole no. 10.

UTEP turned in a strong showing in its previous tournament, finished third out of 16 programs at the Bayou City Classic on April 12. Yellin shot up 13 spots to tied seventh after shooting a 69 in the final round.
