BIRMINGHAM, ALA. - Savannah Favre extended her hitting streak to 10 games with a two-run homer in UTEP's 4-2 setback to UAB Saturday afternoon at Mary Bowers Field.
UTEP was first on the board in the opening frame as Zaylie Calderon singled to the short stop and was plated soon after as Savannah Favre launched a nuke over center field to give the Miners a 2-0 lead.
UAB answered in the bottom of the first with a three-run homer by Sierra Frazier to flip the script and take a one-run lead over UTEP.
The Blazers added the last run of the game in the third inning as Bella Wiggins recorded a leadoff single and scored on Olivia Valbak's double for the 4-2 advantage.
