TEAM RESULTS | INDIVIDUAL RESULTS
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The UTEP men's golf team moved up three spots to finish 13
th out of 20 programs at the William H. Tucker Intercollegiate hosted by New Mexico at UNM Championship Course (par 72 | 7,546 yards) in Albuquerque on Tuesday afternoon.
The Miners (295-291-291) fired a 13-over par 881, while shooting a 291 in the third round to move up the team leaderboard. Host New Mexico (280-280-275) won the tournament at 29-under par 835. Texas Tech (278-280-280—838) finished second while San Diego State (289-274-287—850) placed third. UC Santa Barbara (307-291-310—908) finished last.
Dylan Teeter (74-72-71) finished as the top Miner, while placing tied for 37
th overall at 1-over par 217. Teeter moved up 12 spots after firing a 71 in the third round on Tuesday.
Braden Smith (73-75-73—221) and
Jacob Presutti (75-70-76—221) finished tied for 58
th.
Patrick Foley (76-74-72—222), in his collegiate debut, placed tied for 65
th and
Greg Holmes (73-75-75—223) placed 67
th.
San Diego State's Tyler Kowack (72-66-67) won the individual title at 11-under par 205, while Texas Tech's Calum Scott (69-70-67—206) and Tyran Snyders (67-68-71—206) finished tied for second. UNM's Bastien Amat (67-72-68—207) and Albert Boneta (69-68-70—207) and San Francisco's Jakob Melin (72-65-70—207) tied for fourth place.
UTEP led the field with 170 birdies while posting five eagles. Smith recorded two eagles on hole 14 (par 5, 575 yards) in the second round and on 18 (par 5, 544 yards) in the final round of play. Teeter eagled 18 in the first round, while Presutti flew over hole 1 (par 5, 544 yards) in round two, and Foley on 18 in round one. Foley tied for the second most pars with 39.

UTEP will take the course at the Mark Simpson Colorado Invitational on Oct. 2-3 in Boulder at Colorado National Golf Club.
