UTEP Women’s Basketball Inks Three for 2025

EL PASO, Texas – The UTEP women's basketball program has signed three athletes for the 2025-26 season, Head Coach Keitha Adams announced Tuesday. 
 
A brief profile on each signee and quotes from Adams follow below.
 
Brooklyn Terry
Guard/ Forward

Mansfield, Texas
Legion Prep HS/ Mansfield Timberview
 
Earned District 8-5A Offensive Player of the year honors … was a 2024 State Runner-Up … helped her team to the 2024 Regional Championship title … earned 2024 All-State, All-Region, and All-District accolades …  was named MVP of the Mansfield Spring Creek Tournament … scored 1,000 points at Mansfield Timberview … she is currently averaging 12 points per game for Legion Prep.
 
" Adding Brooklyn to our team means we are adding great shooter," Adams said. "She has great basketball IQ and with her upsized she can play in and out. We are very excited for Brooklyn to join us!"
 
Mirembe Twehamye
Guard

Valencia, Spain
Fundacion Valencia Basquet
 
Won silver with Spain at the 2024 FIBA Women's Eurobasket where she played with current Miner Irene Asensio …  earned the bronze medal at the 2023 FIBA U18 Women's European Championship … won the silver medal at the 2024 Spanish Championship with her club Fundacion Valencia Basquet…she is a two-time Spanish champion, once with her club and once with the Valencian basketball selection.
 
"Mirembe is very athletic guard, great defender and rebounder," Adams said. "She is also very good outside shooter. She has great feel for the game, and she knows how to win. She has won on every level with her club team as well with her Spanish national team. We are extremely excited about adding Mirembe to our program."
 
Aolani Woldai
Guard
5-7
Fort Worth, Texas
Brewer High School
 
Is averaging 15.0 points and 5.0 assists per game currently in senior season at Brewer HS … she is a three-time First Team All-District selection … earned 2022 Newcomer of the Year in her freshman season … plays for True Texas Hoops at the AAU level.
 
"We are very excited about adding Aolani to our team," Adams said. "She brings leadership and toughness to the team. Aolani likes to play up-tempo style of basketball. She loves playing defense and takes the challenge of guarding best player on the other team. "We can't wait to have her with us in El Paso."
