UTEP’s Teeter in First Place, Miners Tied 3rd after 18 at the Los Vaqueros Intercollegiate Monday

DAY 1 RESULTS

PLAYA DEL CARMEN, Mexico – The UTEP men's golf team finished tied for third, while Dylan Teeter sits in first after 18 holes played at the Los Vaqueros Intercollegiate hosted by UTRGV at Playa Paraiso Golf Club (par 72 | 6,701 yards) in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico, on Monday afternoon.

The Miners shot 23-over par 311, tying third with Abilene Christian. UTEP and ACU are nine strokes behind Lamar (302) and 11 behind leader VCU (300).

Teeter was the only competitor to shoot even par (72), while Patrick Foley (74) is tied for fifth with four other players. Teeter penciled in five birdies, tying with three other student-athletes to lead the field, while Foley recorded four birdies.

UAB's Seb Cave, Lamar's Nathan Woodham and VCU's Veikka Viskari are tied second at 1-over par 73. Cave tallied four birdies, while Woodham and teammate Jacob Lindh each registered five birdies.

Sebastian Sandin (82), Jacob Presutti (83) and Greg Holmes (86) round out UTEP's finishers.

The Miners tallied 13 birdies, the third most behind Lamar (16) and VCU (15).
