UTEP Men’s Golf Pencils in Lowest Score of the Season at Gaucho Invitational Tuesday

GOLETA, Calif. – The UTEP men's golf team concluded regular-season action by firing a season-best 848 to finish fourth overall at the 2024 Gaucho Invitational hosted by UC Santa Barbara at the Sand Piper Golf Club (par 72 | 7,159 yards) on Tuesday.

The Miners (285-282-281—848) tied for their best round of the season, firing a 7-under par 281 in third-round action. Nevada (275-281-277) ran away from the pack, winning the tournament at 31-under par 833. Loyola Marymount (287-277-272) finished in second at 28-under par 836, while Utah (283-281-280) was third with a 20-under par 844.

Dylan Teeter (72-66-70—208) finished as the top Miner for the seventh time this season after turning in his best card of the season. Teeter fired an 8-under par 208 to finish tied for fourth overall with three other competitors. Teeter tallied 14 birdies during the two-day event. Teeter also registered his second top-10 finish of the season.

Utah's Brandon Robinson (68-67-71—206) and Javier Barcos (70-68-68—206) shared second place while Nevada's Enrique Dimayuga (68-66-70—204) won the individual title.

Greg Holmes (69-71-73—213) finished tied for 14^th. Holmes birdied 12 holes.

Sebastian Sandin (71-73-70—214) turned in his second-best card of the season. Sandin recorded 13 birdies.

Jacob Presutti (74-72-70—216) finished tied for 25^th. Presutti recorded seven birdies and an eagle.

Patrick Foley (73-76-71—220) and Braden Smith (68-79-73—220), who competed as an individual, tied for 35^th.

The Miners will compete at the 2024 Conference USA Men's Golf Championship in Texarkana, Ark., at Texarkana Country Club on April 22-25.
