EL PASO – UTEP Beach Volleyball is thrilled to announce the signing of three talented student-athletes to its 2026 roster: Audriana Spielman, Evelina Krieva, and Alexa Gonzalez Monreal. These incoming Miners bring impressive accolades and diverse experiences that will bolster the program's competitive edge.
Audriana Spielman | 5-9 | Spokane, Washington
Hailing from Spokane, Washington, Spielman is a three-year varsity volleyball standout at Mead High School. She helped lead her team to significant achievements, including a Washington State 3A runner-up finish in 2022, a Washington State 3A Championship title in 2023, and a district championship with a state qualification in 2024.
Spielman also boasts an impressive club resume, competing with Kakua Beach Volleyball Club, College Preparatory Academy (CPA), and The Sand Club. Her club accolades include:
- 1st place at the p1440 PNW Crown Championship
- 1st place at the Sizzlin' Juniors-Doubles
- 1st place at the Kakua AVP 3 Star Event
- 1st place at the Sandstorm Sweet Slam Juniors Tournament
- 1st place at the Juniors Kings and Queens of the Beach
Evelina Krieva | 6-0 | Marupe, Latvia
A native of Marupe, Latvia, Krieva represents the international talent that continues to elevate UTEP Beach Volleyball. Competing with Marupes Novada Sporta Skola (MNSS), she has proven herself against top-tier competition, earning:
- 13th place at the Latvia Open Championship (Saulkrasti, Latvia)
- 9th place at the Latvia Open Championship (Ventspils, Latvia)
Alexa Gonzalez Monreal | 5-5 | San Antonio, Texas
From San Antonio, Texas, Gonzalez Monreal is a multi-sport athlete at Churchill High School, excelling in cross country and track and field, where she was named Cross Country Newcomer of the Year and earned Academic All-District honors in both sports.
On the beach, Gonzalez Monreal has competed with 210 Beach and amassed an impressive list of accolades, including:
- 3rd place at the BVCA Open National Tournament
- 3rd place at BVCA Pairs
- 5th place at BVCA Open Nationals
- Named BVCA Tournament MVP
- JVA Watchlist honoree
- 3rd place at AVP America Texas Woman Championship
- 2nd place at the Texas Cup (14U & 16U)
- 5th place at the p1440 Tournament (18U)
- 3rd place at the East Coast Championship (17U)
- 5th place at the East Coast Championship (16U)
