EL PASO, Texas – The UTEP women's golf program has signed two international standouts to its 2026 signing class, head coach
Steve Sims announced Wednesday.

Camila De Echavarri Ramon
Queretaro, Mexico
De Echavarri Ramon has built an impressive junior résumé competing in both national and international events. She tied for first at the LXVI Campeonato Nacional Interzonas Lorena Ochoa with rounds of (68-74-71), captured first place at the Quinta Etapa Tour Zona Centro (71-75-78), and placed third at the Gabby Lopez Open (74-75-74). She also finished 13th at the Arizona Women's Amateur, carding rounds of (70-77-69) against a competitive field.
Essi Ekholm
Vaasa, Finland
Ekholm joins the Miners after an outstanding junior career in Finland. She claimed the title at the Finnish Junior Tour Final (79-77-76), finished runner-up at the FootJoy Finnish Tour 5 (75-73-76), and placed third at the Finnish Junior Match Play Championship.
"I am extremely excited to bring in Camila and Essi to the team for the Fall of 2026," Sims said. "Both of them bring the attitude and work ethic we are looking for to enhance this program. I see both players making an immediate impact in our lineup and on our team."
