EL PASO, Texas – UTEP Softball has officially released its 2026 schedule, a slate highlighted by national powers Oklahoma and Texas Tech visiting Helen of Troy Field, along with a strong mix of Power-4 opponents, home tournaments, and a competitive Conference USA lineup.

The Miners enter the upcoming season with momentum, having posted back-to-back 20-win seasons for the first time in 15 years. UTEP has been especially dominant at home over the last two years, compiling a 34–17 mark at Helen of Troy Field, including an 18–9 finish in 2025 that saw the Miners win 10 of their final 12 contests against CUSA opponents.

The Breakdown

Non-Conference
UTEP opens the season by hosting the UTEP Invitational from February 6–8 at Helen of Troy Field. The Miners will welcome Utah Valley, St. Thomas, UT Arlington, and UMass Lowell for three days of action in El Paso. The following week, UTEP again takes center stage as it hosts the Dr. Diana Natalicio Memorial Tournament from February 13–15. This year's field includes Minnesota, Idaho State, and Montana, along with national powerhouse Oklahoma, which finished No. 3 in last year's final poll and owns eight NCAA championships since 2000.

The Miners remain at home for a single matchup against New Mexico on February 18 before traveling to Albuquerque for the UNM Invitational from February 27–March 1. During the weekend, UTEP will face Houston Christian, New Mexico, and Tarleton State.

March and April bring several high-profile non-conference opportunities. UTEP hosts Arizona State on March 10, marking the Sun Devils' return to El Paso for a midweek matchup. The teams will meet again on April 7 in Tempe. Helen of Troy Field will also serve as the site for a marquee doubleheader against Texas Tech on April 22. The Red Raiders, last season's national runner-up and the final No. 2 team in the national rankings, provide one of the most compelling home matchups in program history.

Conference USA Slate
The Miners' CUSA slate opens with four home series and five road series. UTEP hosts Sam Houston from March 6–8 to begin conference action, followed by Liberty on March 19–20. The Flames, who finished No. 16 in last year's final poll, return to El Paso as the defending CUSA champions. The Miners will also welcome Delaware from April 2–4 and Missouri State from April 24–26. On the road, UTEP travels to FIU (March 13–15), Kennesaw State (March 27–29), New Mexico State (April 10–12), WKU (April 17–19), and Louisiana Tech (May 1–3).

Conference USA Tournament in Newark
The 2026 Conference USA Championship will be held May 6–9 in Newark, Delaware, hosted by the University of Delaware. The Miners aim to return to the postseason behind a roster that has shown consistent growth and an upward trajectory over the last two seasons.
