UTEP Beach Volleyball’s Emma Schubert Earns CUSA Spring Spirit of Service Award

DALLAS – UTEP beach volleyball's Emma Schubert was named one of the recipients of the 2024-25 Conference USA Spring Spirit of Service Award as announced by league officials on Thursday. 
 
The award honors student-athletes with significant community service endeavors, good academic and participation in their sport. The Spirit of Service Award is presented three times throughout the season, with Tuesday's honorees representing baseball, men's and women's golf, outdoor track and field, softball, men's and women's tennis and beach volleyball. Recipients are nominated by their institutions. 
 
Schubert, a freshman from San Antonio, Texas, is a Criminal Justice major and a member of the UTEP beach volleyball team. She's fashioned a 3.88 grade point average and was announced to the 2025 CUSA Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll, while achieving status as a CUSA Commissioner's Academic Medalist. Schubert dedicated time to her community, logging 24.5 hours of service. She's put in with the Extra Yard for Teachers, being a ball shagger for indoor volleyball, the Kelly Center for Hunger Relief, Rebuilding Together, CUSA Volleyball Championships and the Salvation Army. On the beach court, she garnered 12 wins on courts 3-5 and eight wins on court 4. She was part of the beach volleyball team that won its first-ever postseason match, defeating Jax State at the 2025 CUSA Beach Volleyball Championship on April 24 in Youngsville, La.
