New Season of “UTEP Football with Scotty Walden” Radio Show Debuts Wednesday

EL PASO, Texas – The new season of "UTEP Football with Scotty Walden" Radio Show will debut on Wednesday, Aug. 27, at Border City Ale House (1506 Lee Trevino Dr., Suite G) from 6-7 p.m., airing on 600 AM ESPN. Fans can also listen on the UTEP Miners App.

The long-running radio show will alternate between Ale House and DeadBeach Brewery (3200 Durazno Avenue). DeadBeach will host the second show on Wednesday, Sept. 3, from 6-7 p.m.

Host "Voice of the UTEP Miners" Jon Teicher is back for his 45^th season as UTEP's play-by-play man. During the season, "Teich" and UTEP Head Coach Scotty Walden will review the previous week's contest and preview the upcoming games.

This season, with the CUAS mid-week games, three shows will fall on different days in October. DeadBeach will host on Tuesday, Oct. 7 (6-7 p.m.), and Friday, Oct. 24 (5-6 p.m.). The Ale House will host one on Monday, Oct. 13 (5-6 p.m.).

THE 2025 SEASON
The Miners kick off the new campaign at Utah State on Saturday, Aug. 30, at 5:30 p.m. MT on CBS Sports Network. Fans can tune into 95.5 KLAQ and hear the action from "The Voice of the Miners" Jon Teicher and former UTEP WR Cole Freytag, while Mando Medina will be reporting from the sidelines.
