NEW ORLEANS, La. – UTEP beach volleyball dropped both of its rematch duals Saturday to wrap up play at the Bayou Beach Duals at the White Sands Volleyball Courts. The Miners fell 3-2 to Texas A&M–Kingsville before dropping another tight 3-2 decision to McNeese.
UTEP moves to 3-9 on the season following the weekend's action.
DUAL 1 Texas A&M-Kingsville 3, UTEP 2
UTEP split the five scoring courts with Texas A&M–Kingsville, but the Javelinas secured the deciding point to claim the 3-2 victory.
The Miners earned their first point on court two as Kennedy Llewellyn and Mila Popovic battled to a three-set win. Adriana Oporto and Emma Schubert followed with another point for UTEP, defeating their opponents in straight sets on court five.
Texas A&M–Kingsville captured courts four and three, while the dual ultimately came down to court one where the Javelinas edged Paulina Acuna and Madison Hill in three sets to clinch the match.

The Miners again split the five scoring matches with McNeese, but the Cowgirls secured the clinching point on court five to take the dual, 3-2.
Acuna and Hill opened the scoring for UTEP with a straight-set win on court one. Paegle and Threet added another point for the Miners on court three, rallying for a three-set victory.
McNeese claimed courts two and four to even the dual before edging UTEP on court five to clinch the team win.
