UTEP Men’s Golf Competes at the 36th Duck Invitational March 23-24

TOURNAMENT PROGRAM

EL PASO – UTEP men's golf, ranked #77 (70-40-3), hits the links at the 36th Annual Duck Invitational hosted by Oregon at Eugene Country Club (par 71 | 6,997 yards) on Monday and Tuesday.
 
The tournament features a 54-hole stroke-play format with 36 holes on Monday, March 23, with a shotgun start at 9:30 a.m. MDT/8:30 PT, and the final 18 on Tuesday (same times).

Teeing off for the Miners are Dylan Teeter (70.3 stroke average), Branden Smith (71.9), Marc Keller (72.4), Patrick Foley (71.9), and Alexandre Godin (73.0).
 
The #77 Miners will compete in a 15-team field that includes host #63 Oregon, Boise State, Cal State Fullerton, #48 Cincinnati, #92 Grand Canyon, Gonzaga, Hawai'i-Hilo, Idaho, #9 Illinois, #88 Iowa, #71 Michigan State, #62 Oregon State, #84 San Jose State, and #58 Saint Mary's. 
 
UTEP has finished in the top 10 in all eight of its tournaments so far this season. The Miners' worst finish was a ninth-place showing to open the season. It's also the 12th consecutive top-10 finish, dating back to the 2024-25 campaign. UTEP last finished out of the top 10 on March 8-9, 2025, at Michigan's Desert Mountain Intercollegiate. The eight straight top-10 finishes to begin the season are the most since the 1997-98 season, when the Miners opened that campaign with nine consecutive.
 
The Miners will play the first of their three final regular-season tournaments before the Conference USA Championship on April 27-30, in Texarkana, Ark. UTEP will play at Wyoming's Cowboy Classic in Maricopa, Ariz., on March 31-April 1, and at Mississippi State's Mossy Oak Collegiate in West Point, Miss., on April 13-14.

UTEP (281-299-286—866, +2) got off to a scorching start, shooting 7-under par in round one, but stumbled in the second round with an 11-over par effort. The Miners shot 2-under in round three to move up a spot to finish tied for eighth at the 46th Arizona Thunderbirds Intercollegiate hosted by the University of Arizona at Tucson CC (par 72 | 7,533 yards) on March 16-17.
 
Marc Keller (71-73-71—215) and Dylan Teeter (71-73-71—215) penciled in identical scores, placing tied for 27th overall. Keller eagled hole #1 in round two, while recording 11 birdies. Teeter led the Miners with 12 birdies. 
 
Braden Smith (70-76-72—218) tied for 37th. Smith eagled hole #10 in round one, while securing 10 birdies.
