UTEP Men’s Golf Set Take the Links at the Cowboy Classic Hosted by Wyoming March 31-April 1

EL PASO – UTEP men's golf, ranked #85 (74-49-3) in the latest Scoreboard rankings, will compete at the Cowboy Classic hosted by Wyoming in Maricopa, Ariz., at Ak-Chin Southern Dunes Golf Club (par 72 | 7,330 yards) on Tuesday and Wednesday.

The tournament features a 54-hole stroke-play format with 36 holes on Tuesday with a 7:30 a.m. MST/8:30 MDT shotgun start and the final 18 on Wednesday (same times).

Teeing off for the Miners are Dylan Teeter (70.6 stroke average), Branden Smith (72.1), Colin Price (73.3), Marc Keller (72.6), and Valentin Luna (74.2).

The Miners will compete in a 25-team field that includes host Wyoming, Arkansas State, CSU Fullerton, CSU Northridge, Fresno State, Grand Canyon, Iowa State, NM State, Northern Colorado, San Diego State, San Francisco, South Dakota State, USC, Southern Utah, St. Mary's, UC Irvine, UNLV, South Florida, UT Arlington, Utah State, Utah Valley, Weber State, Western Carolina and Wichita State.

UTEP has finished in the top 10 in all nine of its tournaments so far this season. It's also the 13^th consecutive top-10 finish, dating back to the 2024-25 campaign. UTEP last finished out of the top 10 on March 8-9, 2025, at Michigan's Desert Mountain Intercollegiate. The nine straight top-10 finishes to begin the season are the most since the 1997-98 season, when the Miners opened that campaign with nine consecutive.

The Miners will play the first of their two final regular-season tournaments before the Conference USA Championship on April 27-30, in Texarkana, Ark. UTEP at Mississippi State's Mossy Oak Collegiate in West Point, Miss., on April 13-14.

UTEP men's golf placed 10^th at the 36^th Annual Duck Invitational hosted by Oregon at Eugene Country Club (par 71 | 6,997 yards) on March 23-24.

The Miners (299-292-294—885) shot 33-over par and finished four strokes behind Iowa (302-285-294—881). UTEP tied fifth in the field with 39 birdies.

Dylan Teeter (70-75-73—218) was the top Miner, while finishing tied for 23^rd overall. Teeter penciled in 10 birdies but registered 12 bogeys.

Marc Keller (74-76-73—223) tied for 45^th. Keller tallied six birdies.
