SMU INVITE MEET INFORMATION: FINAL RESULTS

DALLAS – UTEP's Samahri Foster clocked in a personal-best 1:00.72 in the women's 400-meter hurdles, as the Miners combined for 10 PRs on the final day of competition at the SMU Invitational in Washburne Soccer and Track Stadium on Friday night.

To start the day, Amir Williams, Elias Munoz, Deondre McIntosh, and Timothy Grice won the men's 4x100-meter relay with a time of 40.33, while the women's 4x1 team – Cydni Martin, Addison Stricklin, Londyn Colon, and Oghenekaro Brume – finished second with a 45.01.

Foster finished fifth of 29 hurdlers in the 400H. The El Paso native ranked fifth in the 400H in CUSA heading into the meet. Delaware's Lauren Leath (1:00.06), Missouri State's Breana Garrett (1:00.53), and Liberty's Alivia Rivera-Norman (1:00.76) were the top three coming into the weekend.

"We followed up the meet with another strong day, adding 10 more personal best performances, which shows the consistency and progress we're continuing to build as a team," first-year UTEP head coach Francesca Green said. "Samahri had a standout performance in the 400-meter hurdles, running 1:00.72, which should put her in the top 3–4 in Conference USA. That's a big-time mark at the right time of the season. We also saw a great race from Jacob Yeager in the 800 meters, running 1:50.89, which was another strong step forward. Overall, I'm really pleased with where we are right now. We've got about a week and a half before the Conference USA Championships, so now it's about staying focused, continuing to fine-tune the details, and making sure we're ready to compete at our highest level when it matters most."

Carmelo Corral turned in a personal-best time of 3:57.90 in the men's 1500.
