UTEP Men’s Golf Set to Compete at the Little Rock Invite Monday & Tuesday

EL PASO, Texas – The UTEP men's golf team will tee off at the Little Rock Invitational on Monday and Tuesday at Chenal Country Cub (Founder's Course – par 72 | 7,115 yards) in Little Rock, Ark.
 
Monday's 36 holes will begin with a shotgun start at 7 a.m. MT/8 CT. Tuesday's final round (18 holes) starts at 7 a.m. MT/8 CT.

The Miners will compete against host no. 30 and two-time defending champion Little Rock, Abilene Christian, Boston College, Central Arkansas, Florida Atlantic, Kansas City, Lamar, Michigan, North Texas, Oral Roberts, Southern Miss, Troy, ULM, UT Arlington and VCU.
 
Competing for the Miners are Greg Holmes (73.0), Kristjan Burkelca (75.8), Jacob Presutti (74.8), Max Schliesing (73.3), and Marcus Khaw (72.9).
 
Little Rock won the event last season (846) and in 2020 (829). Little Rock's Anton Albers (203) won the individual title last season.
 
UTEP'S LAST 54…
UTEP penciled in its first top-10 finish this season, placing sixth at the Mark Simpson Colorado Invitational on Oct. 3-4 at Boulder Country Club (par 70 | 7,110 yards). The Miners fired a season-low 849, while Max Schliesing (207) played to a fourth-place finish out of 92 competitors. He started tied for 21st before shooting 17 spots up the leaderboard after a career-best 65 in the third round. Schliesing also led the field with 14 birdies. Jacob Presutti placed 19th after shooting a 212.
