UTEP’s Schliesing Tops Leaderboard After First Day at Duck Invitational Monday

EUGENE, Ore. – UTEP's Max Schliesing is at 4-under after playing into the second round at the 33rd Annual Duck Invitational hosted by Oregon at Eugene Country Club (par 71 | 6,995 yards) on Monday. Play was suspended due to weather/darkness.

Schliesing penciled in a 70 after the first 18 holes, and has played thru 15 in the second round, sitting at 3-under 57 heading into Tuesday's final three holes to complete second round action. Schliesing ranks third at 2-under on par 4 holes and ranks third with eight birdies. 
 
Jacob Presutti leads the field with 28 pars and is tied 11th after playing thru 16 holes in the second round. 
 
Oregon's Nate Stember sits in second (2-under thru 14). 
 
Colorado's Justin Biwer and Boise State's Max Charles each fired a 69, while Schliesing, Colorado State's Connor Jones, and Colorado's Tucker Clark shot a 70 to tie for third after the first round. 
 
Overall, UTEP is tied for 10th with Pacific at 27-over par. The Miners, who started the second round tied for last with Gonzaga after shooting a 16-over par 300 after 18, moved up three spots after playing thru 15-16 holes.
 
No. 28 Oregon leads at 1-over par (287), while no. 23 Colorado State is second at 8-over (289). The 'Zags are still in last at 36-over par (300).
