UTEP Men’s Golf to Conclude Regular Season at Tunica National April 17-18

EL PASO, Texas – The UTEP men's golf team will wrap up regular-season action at the Tunica National Intercollegiate at Tunica National (par 72, 7204 yards) in Tunica, Miss., hosted by Arkansas State on Monday and Tuesday.

The Miners will tee off at 8 a.m. CT begin the 54-hole event on Monday morning.
 
The 12-team tournament field includes UTEP, host Arkansas State, Jax State, Missouri State, Nicholls, North Alabama, ODU, Oral Roberts, Samford, SE Louisiana, South Dakota, and UT Arlington. Multiple individuals will be competing. 
 
Making the trip for the Miners are Greg Holmes (74.1 scoring avg.), Max Schliesing (72.4), Jacob Presutti (73.1), Marcus Khaw (73.0), and Ryan Lewis (79.1). Lewis will start at 8 a.m., with Khaw (8:10), Presutti (8:20), Schliesing (8:30) and Holmes (8:40) to follow. 
 
Arkansas State and Jax State will join the Miners at 8 a.m. on hole no. 1 (par 4, 405 yards). 
 
Kristjan Burkelca (77.1) will compete as an individual, starting at 7:50 a.m. CT.

The Miners shot an 877 (289-299-289) at the Wyoming Cowboy Classic at The Cattail course at Whirlwind Golf Club (par 72, 7334 yards) on April 3-4. UTEP finished ninth of 21 programs. It was the fourth team top-10 finish of the season.
 
Holmes (74-71-73) finished as the top Miner for the first time in his career. He shot 2-over par 218 and finished tied for 25th
