UTEP Men’s Golf Opens ’23 Fall Season at GolfWeek Collegiate Kickoff

EL PASO, Texas – The UTEP men's golf team will tee off the 2023-24 season at the GolfWeek Collegiate Kickoff hosted by the University of Missouri at Dalhousie Country Club (par 72 | 7,389 yards) in Cape Girardeau, Mo., on Sept. 4-5.

Monday's 36 holes will begin with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. CT/7:30 MT. Tuesday's final round (18 holes) starts at 8:30 a.m. CT.

The Miners will compete against host Missouri, Ball State, LSU, rival NM State, UT-Martin, UTRGV, ULM, Oral Roberts, Sam Houston, Stetson and UT Arlington.

Taking the course for the Miners are seniors Jacob Presutti and Greg Holmes. A trio of transfers will make their UTEP debuts as junior junior Dylan Teeter (Oklahoma City University), senior Sebastian Sandin (Lindsey Wilson College), and junior Jaxon Langford Houston-Victoria) are making the trip. A fourth transfer – sophomore Braden Smith from Coffeyville CC – will compete as an individual as his score won't count towards the team score.

"After a long summer of recruiting, we are excited to get back in action with three new faces in our lineup. We are a lot deeper this year, so I expect there to be a lot of competition at home fighting for our top five spots," UTEP Head Coach Aaron Puetz said. "We will miss Max Schliesing this week as he competes in the Omega European Masters, but this allows for couple more guys to get some tournament reps in and that experience will be huge for them."
