UTEP Men’s Golf Concludes Regular-Season Play at Mississippi State’s Mossy Oak Collegiate April 13-14

EL PASO – UTEP, ranked #87 (90-55-5) in the latest Scoreboard rankings, will compete at Mississippi State's Mossy Oak Collegiate in West Point, Miss., at Mossy Oak GC (par 72 | 7,212 yards) on Monday and Tuesday.
 
The tournament features a 54-hole stroke-play format, with 36 holes on Monday and the final 18 on Tuesday.

Teeing off for the Miners are Dylan Teeter (70.4 stroke average), Marc Keller (72.7), Valentin Luna (73.5), Branden Smith (72.3) and Patrick Foley (72.3).
 
Teeter is coming off a tied-for-sixth-place finish at the Cowboy Classic a few weeks ago and earned his third Conference USA Player of the Week honor this season on April 8. 
 
The Miners will compete in a 19-team field that includes host Mississippi State, #17 Alabama, Cincinnati, Coastal Carolina, Kansas State, LA Tech, Memphis, Middle Tennessee, NM State, North Texas, #13 Ole Miss, Rice, Sam Houston, South Alabama, Southern Miss, Troy, ULM and #11 Vanderbilt. 
 
UTEP has finished in the top 10 in all 10 of its tournaments so far this season. It's also the 14th consecutive top-10 finish, dating back to the 2024-25 campaign. UTEP last finished out of the top 10 on March 8-9, 2025, at Michigan's Desert Mountain Intercollegiate.
 
The Miners will play at the CUSA Championship on April 27-30, in Texarkana, Ark.

UTEP fired 11-under par, placing tied for seventh of 25 competing teams at Wyoming's Cowboy Classic at Ak-Chin Southern Dunes Golf Club (par 72 | 7,330 yards) on March 31-April 1. 
 
The Miners (281-281-291—853) tied for seventh place with USF (288-278-287—847) and host Wyoming (286-287-280—853). #28 USC (272-282-284—838) won the team title, shooting 26-under par. 
 
UTEP's 51 birdies tied with UNLV for the ninth-most in the field. The Miners' 165 pars ranked 10th
 
Dylan Teeter (71-67-70) was the top Miner for the seventh time this season and tied for sixth after firing 8-under par 208. It was Teeter's best finish since September. Teeter tied for the team lead and tied for eighth in the field with 14 birdies. Teeter moved up two spots after shooting 2-under par 70 in the third round. Teeter's 67 in the second tied for his season-low. 
 
Valentin Luna (67-73-73) shot a UTEP-career low 3-under par 213 and career-low round of 5-under par 67 on the first 18 holes on Tuesday morning. Valentin tied for 20th overall.
