"We're back at Texas Tech University this weekend for the Jarvis Scott Invitational. It's another high-level meet with top-tier teams, and we're looking forward to the challenge. Our group has continued to make progress each time we compete, and we're excited to see that growth show up again," first-year UTEP Head Coach Francesca Green said. "We're also really proud to have four athletes recognized as Conference USA Athletes of the Week based on their performances from last week. Juan Leal earned Male Track Athlete of the Week, Timothy Grice was named Freshman of the Week, Praise Djoma received Female Field Athlete of the Week, and Cydni Martin was honored as Female Track Athlete of the Week. That recognition reflects the work our team is putting in and the standard we're building every day. At this stage of the season, it's about confidence and execution. We expect to compete well, continue tightening the details, and keep putting ourselves in a strong position as we move closer to the conference championship. We're ready to take another step forward."
