UTEP T&F to Compete at UNM’s Don Kirby Twilight April 25

EL PASO – UTEP track and field returns to action after a busy weekend as the Miners will head up the road to compete at New Mexico's Don Kirby Twilight in Albuquerque at the UNM Track & Field Complex on Friday. 
 
The meet will start at 8 a.m. MDT with the men's 10,000-meter run, followed by the women's 10,000 at 8:35 a.m. The field events will begin at 5:45 p.m. MDT with the men's long jump, while the gun goes off for the evening track events at 6:30 p.m. with the men's 3000-meter race. The meet will conclude at 9:30 p.m. with the women's 4x400-meter relay.

Competing for the women's squad are Loubna Benhadja (400), Chinique Brown (200, 400), Sarah Dovenbarger (pole vault), Lizbeth Fierro (hammer), Samahdi Foster (400H), Asia Hodge (100), Brenda Jerop (3000), Vallary Kiplagat (3000), Salma Licon (3000), Natalie J. Murillo (discus, hammer), Samoya Neil (200, long jump), Esther Osisike (hammer, discus), Alla Parnov (pole vault), Cailee Phillips (400H), Marissa Simpson (100), Rejoice Sule (100, 200) and Princess Uche (400). 
 
Going for the men are Sebastian Avena (400), Evan Avitia (800), Alex Brown (triple jump), Harrison Canfield (pole vault), Stephen Carreto (400), Joseph Gomez Whitten (100, 200), Joshua Hill (200), Aleks Hristov (hammer, discus), Noah Jirgens (hammer throw), Juan Leal (800, 3000), Mathew Polk (200, 400), Paul Rotich (800), Aron Tanui (800), Zacarias Velasquez (long jump), Xavier Westmoreland (hammer, discus), Amir Williams (100, 110H) and Jordani Woodley (110H). 
 
The hammer throw events will be at UTEP's Larry K. Durham Track at Kidd Field on Saturday afternoon – the women at 1:30 p.m. and the men at 2:30 p.m.
